The basic change is the use of low-dispersion ED glass in the lens, which allows reduction of chromatic aberration. Taking advantage of the lack of aberration, it became possible to widen the field of view, which in the new ED binoculars is over 7.2 °.

The slightly different design of the eyepieces also makes it practically non-distortion.

Other features include excellent anti-reflective coatings guaranteeing the right contrast and optical efficiency of 92%.

The binoculars are waterproof and nitrogen-filled.
